Design a simple furniture piece to comfortably adjust and have storage for a variety of hobbies
Inspiration Board
My objective for the project was to create a bench that could comfortably allow me to work while enjoying the outdoors. I was inspired my the culture of Central Park and how people spend their time outside working or reading and using the park benches for their specific comfort. I wanted to recreate this for my room by my window.
CAD Modeling
Taking the feedback from my sketches I modeled my final dimensions on Fusion 360 and placed joinery to fit the post and rung archetype
Prototyping
Utilizing cherry wood, dowels, wood glue and domino joinery, I crafted my prototyped bench
